Formation

Over the next several weeks I want to share more about the vision and values of House of the Transfiguration. This is a way to give you a taste of what this community strives to be. Please contact me if you have any questions or want to get involved. A launch group will be starting in late January/early February and we’d love to have you there!

The last of our core values is: Formation: Always trying to be more like Jesus.

We believe that there is always more to learn, always new ways to grow, always things that can molded and shaped to better follow in the way of Jesus. The value of formation encircles all of the other values: Everything we do is an attempt to follow more closely in the way of Jesus.

Formation doesn’t happen without discipline. It takes work. We have to have a spiritual practice, we have to be in community, we have to cultivate a Christian life. We plan to do this together, holding one another accountable, and encouraging one another on the way.

Starting on Thursday we’ll begin to take a look at how these values will play out and shape the life of our community.
